Anthony's Restaurants is committed to giving back to the
communities in which we are located and feel grateful for the privilege
of truly making a difference in our communities. Here are some examples
of how we get involved.
Dean Tucker/Anthony’s Restaurant
Graduate Fellowship in Viticulture
Anthony’s celebrated the annual Spring Barrel
Tasting in the Yakima Valley by hosting a Salmon BBQ at Tucker Cellars,
which raised money to be donated from Anthony’s to a viticulture
fellowship in memory of Dean Tucker. Dean partnered with Anthony’s
to bring fresh Yakima Valley produce directly from his farm to our guests
each harvest. Dean’s family is also a pioneer in the Washington
wine industry.
Fishermen’s Fall Festival
The 21st Annual Fishermen's Fall Festival will be
held Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to dusk on the boardwalk
of Fishermen’s Terminal; Chinook’s at Salmon Bay is one of
the major sponsors.
The Festival celebrates the return of the North Pacific
fishing fleet to the terminal, works to increase the public’s knowledge
of the importance of the fishing industry as well as Fishermen’s
Terminal to Seattle while raising money for the Seattle Fishermen’s
Memorial Foundation. This is an all-volunteer event that depends on over
200 volunteers for its success.
The festival provides families with a fun and educational
outing on the waterfront as well as an opportunity to learn more about
seafood. Hands-on art projects with fishing themes are complementary for
all children and admission to the festival is free. Proceeds from the
activities within the festival are donated to the Seattle Fishermen’s
Memorial to assist families of fishers lost at sea. The Fishermen’s
Fall Festival is a truly unique Seattle event!
Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial Banquet
Each November, our team at Chinook’s at Salmon
Bay helps honor the local fishing community by hosting the annual Fishermen's
Memorial Banquet. All proceeds from the banquet directly benefit the memorial's
efforts to promote water safety , provide support for the families of
fishermen and women lost at sea and maintain the memorial at Fishermen's
Terminal. During the event, Chinook's closes it doors to the public and
serves a gourmet five-course delight featuring
“treasures of the sea”. Last year over 225 people attended
the annual sold-out event.
"Anthony's and specifically Chinook's did a fabulous job of catering
to our guests", says Seattle Fishermen's Memorial President Rob Wood,
"We always look forward to the excellent support that (Anthony's)
provides for us".
Brunch by the Bay
Anthony’s Woodfire Grill in Everett hosts
this event, held on a Sunday each October. Over 175 guests feast on a
gourmet brunch, prepared by Anthony’s chefs. During the event, Anthony's
Woodfire Grill closes its doors to the public and donates the use of our
restaurant, the wonderful brunch selection and service of our chefs, servers
and support staff. To date the event has raised over $202,000 to support
the Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish County and more specifically
a bereavement camp for children that have experienced the loss of a loved
one.
Des Moines Legacy Foundation Brunch
Each November, Anthony’s HomePort Des Moines
hosts the Bayside Brunch benefiting the Des Moines Legacy Foundation.
During the event, guests raise money for the foundation while enjoying
a fabulous brunch. The proceeds from this event directly benefit the programs
and services provided by the Des Moines Senior Activity Center which aims
to "build a brighter future through parks, recreation and senior
services in the city of Des Moines". To make this brunch such a success,
our Des Moines team generously donates their time as well as the use of
our restaurant and delicious food.
The Epicurean Affair
Each March, Anthony's HomePort in Everett hosts this
sold-out event benefiting the Providence General Foundation and more specifically
the nationally recognized Heart and Vascular Institute at Providence Everett
Medical Center. During the event the restaurant closes its doors to the
public and donates the use of our restaurant, gourmet four-course dinner
and service of our chefs, servers and support staff. Anthony's has helped
the foundation raise over $1,100,000 since the inception of the affair
when we opened Anthony's HomePort Everett in 1986.
