Today, Anthony’s Restaurants was named by the Puget Sound Business Journal as a 2023 Honoree of the Family Business Awards. The Puget Sound Business Journal holds these awards to recognize and honor the achievements and contributions of family-owned businesses in the Puget Sound. It is a testament to the impact of Anthony’s Restaurants in the community.

Anthony’s was founded in 1973 and has been providing a place for guests to connect and celebrate while experiencing the essence of the Northwest for 50 years. Inspired by his roots growing up with fresh seafood in the summers on Whidbey Island, Founder Budd Gould started the first Anthony’s Homeport on the Kirkland waterfront, featuring wild salmon, clams, crab, oysters, and more. Since inception, Gould forged partnership with local farmers, pairing fresh produce with seafood, cocktail, and desserts, doing a farm to table menu before it was a thing.

“We are incredibly honored to receive this award from the Puget Sound Business Journal, and the recognition of our family legacy.” said Amy Burns, CEO of Anthony’s Restaurants. “As a family-owned and operated business, we take great pride in serving our community, from providing an excellent dining experience, to giving back to the communities we serve through benefit dinners.”

Anthony’s has become a beloved local restaurant with loyal guests, and a reputation for quality seafood, friendly service, and jaw dropping views of the water. Even as it grew, Anthony’s has stayed true to its roots and continues to uphold its family-oriented values. It is currently led by the second generation, with the majority of the third generation having either worked seasonally, or currently working full-time in the company. The family ties extend beyond the Gould family, with numerous multi-generational families working across the restaurants. With over 200 team members having been with Anthony’s for over a decade, the company truly embodies a family atmosphere.
